India will host the inaugural ICC Women’s Champions Trophy from February 14 to 28, 2027, with Mumbai and Vadodara selected as the two host cities.
The Cricket Club of India in Mumbai and the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium will stage the event, which will feature six teams: Australia, England, India, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka.
The teams qualified through their positions in the ICC Women’s T20I rankings at the July 6 cut-off. They will play a round-robin league, with the top two advancing to the final on February 28.
The tournament was originally due to be staged in Sri Lanka before the ICC moved it to India after assessing alternative hosts.
The new Champions Trophy adds another marquee global event to the women’s calendar and gives elite teams another high-stakes competition between World Cups.
