India A Women will host Australia A Women in a seven-match multi-format series beginning September 12, with three T20s, three one-day matches and a multi-day fixture.
The T20 leg will be played in New Chandigarh on September 12, 15 and 17. The one-day matches move to Mohali on September 20, 23 and 25 before the tour finishes with a multi-day game in Dharamshala from September 29 to October 2.
Anushka Sharma will captain the T20 squad, with Sayali Satghare as vice-captain. The group also includes Vrinda Dinesh, Tejal Hasabnis, Nikki Prasad, Uma Chetry, Minnu Mani, Vaishnavi Sharma and Shabnam Shakeel.
Yastika Bhatia will captain the one-day and multi-day squads, giving the tour a mix of emerging players and cricketers with senior international experience.
Australia A tours are valuable because they expose developing players to a stronger and more varied opposition than many domestic fixtures can provide.
